Biodiesel Fuel
Biodiesel fuel is no longer an experimental fuel source but has become very much a viable option for everyday fuel needs; commercial and personal. In fact, it has become such a successful alternative to traditional petroleum based fuel types that it is now readily available at fuel stations and pumps around the United States and the rest of the world. Furthermore, the grand stage of the energy market and industry has become a significantly different place because of the addition of this viable alternative. Thanks in part to these bio fuels and great alternatives, there is now a much healthier state of competition which is keeping prices friendlier. This competition also has another curious and intensely positive effect on our industries and the environment as a whole. Because companies need to stay competitive in the fuel industry, they are being forced to develop methods that will improve their efficiency during production. This efficiency not only helps to further lower prices, but there has always been a direct link between a business’ efficiency and its pollution output. As these companies improve their manufacturing efficiency, we can expect some great reductions in carbon footprints.
As the name suggests, this type of diesel is derived from plants and other organic materials (used and new vegetable oil has become immensely popular for this endeavor). Instead of drilling and dredging for fossil fuels, bio processor and reactors work together to break down and form biodiesel with the help of renewable crops. Certain animal fats, palm oil and coffee grounds are also used.
